Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of Kaosly. This AUP supplements our Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.

1. Permitted Uses

  • Personal creative expression — posts, videos, reels, stories, branching narratives.
  • Building and participating in communities.
  • Connecting with users through messaging and social interactions.
  • Live streaming content creation.
  • Monetizing content through supported features (Flicker Coins, premium content, subscriptions).

2. Prohibited Activities

2.1 Technical Abuse

  • Probing, scanning, or testing vulnerabilities of the Service or related systems.
  • Accessing non-public areas or breaching security measures.
  • Reverse-engineering software used to provide the Service.
  • Sending viruses, overloading, flooding, or spamming the Service.
  • Forging TCP/IP headers or sending false source-identifying information.

2.2 Automated Access

  • Using bots, crawlers, or scrapers without written consent.
  • Creating or operating fake accounts.
  • Mass following, liking, or commenting via automation.
  • Accessing undocumented or private API endpoints.

2.3 Data Misuse

  • Harvesting user data without authorization.
  • Storing sensitive personal data beyond platform support.
  • Building competing products using the Service.
  • Reselling access to the Service or its data.

2.4 Commercial Misuse

  • Unauthorized advertising or promotional activities.
  • Selling counterfeit goods or services.
  • Pyramid schemes, Ponzi schemes, or financial fraud.

2.5 Legal Violations

  • Violating applicable laws, regulations, or governmental orders.
  • Money laundering or terrorist financing.
  • Distributing CSAM — zero tolerance.
  • Infringing intellectual property rights.

3. Rate Limiting and Fair Use

We implement rate limits on posts, comments, messages, uploads, and API requests. Users exceeding limits may face temporary restrictions or account suspension.

4. Reporting Violations

Report violations using in-app tools or email support@kaosly.com.

5. Enforcement

Violations may result in warnings, content removal, account suspension, law enforcement referral, or legal action.

6. Changes

We may update this AUP. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
